This project reflected the Assiniboine Credit Union's commitment toward social and environmental responsibility. The selection of materials and methods was based on a sustainable strategy, focusing on the utilization of locally available components and community-based trades and training programs.
The building was designed to provide and warm, inviting environment for members and staff. The geothermal heat system reduces the operation costs and maintenance costs are reduced by the robustness of finishes and surfaces. The xeriscaped landscaping of the site reduces both watering costs and maintenance.
