Atik Lake Lodge

The Atik Lake Lodge was conceived as an opportunity to meet a number of community and economic objectives. The lodge is seen as a vehicle to provide community employment opportunities by capitalizing on the growth of the tourism industry.

The fishing lodge is viewed as a responsible use of the natural resource base in the area, as the capacity of the lodge was considered within the scope of the physical area and the available fish stock.

The complex was designed to minimize its environmental impact through site selection, building systems, daylighting, natural ventilation and water management.
