Lindokken Nursing Station

Deer Lake, Ontario
Construction – 2009/10
Area – 9 200 sq. ft.

The existing Nursing Station in Deer Lake had not had significant upgrades since it was built and there was a need to renovate and provide additional space to improve the delivery of Health Care programs to the community. The new Community Health Services wing assisted in consolidating widespread health agencies into one location.

This "winter road" project re-used and added to the existing nursing station and residences and brought them up to current standards. An updated building envelope, security features and access requirements were incorporated, and upgrades to the mechanical and electrical system help create a healthy and safe working environment.
